Guns Away

I feel that this situation with cops killing unarmed suspects is reoccurring event  and it needs to be stopped, whether it is rambling or anger that people are sharing on this topic at least it is being discussed and there is controversy being discussed on whether this is the right way to handle the situation or not. Personally I do not think that immediately killing the  suspect is the right approach to any situation. There is always two sides to every story however, one of the cops and one of the suspect who is no longer able to give his side so we really are unable to tell the whole situation. Stories can be changed and revised each time they are told so unless talking to both parties you are never getting the whole truth. Ultimately I do not agree with the actions that have been going on since this recent crimes that the cops have been doing and that there could be another way to handle the situation, I know this is not a kind gentle way to handle a situation but this is a better suggestion than a gun, maybe forcing the suspect into hand cuffs would be a better solution, calling for backup to help  is the suspect resists then to take it one step further maybe a taser gun. but for an un armed suspect that is as far as I would take it. Udner no circumstances is harm or death is the proper solution when it is not needed. That is just obserd and I do nothing that it is an appropriate way to handle the suspect.

Remember For Me

As I was not there for the day of the Remembrance Day assemblies, so I will be commenting on the question of what remembrance day is to me. To me remembrance day is a time when we reflect on all that the soldiers and peacekeepers do and have done for us. I feel that this day is the way we give thanks and appreciation for all that they have done and continue to do for us. It's a day of celebration and sorrow, celebratory in the way to see how far we've come compared to what we were before we had people protecting and bringing peace. It is a time of sorrow. For the people who have been lost, but also a time of gratitude for all of those who died for the sake of their country. We remember, and we continue to be thankful. That is what remembrance day is to me, a time of reminiscing and appreciation.

Halloween

Halloween to me was the best time of the year until recently. Growing up I loved dressing up and getting candy and being able to be whatever I wanted to pretend to be for the night. Now to me it is pointless for teenagers, and should just be focused on little kids. Being a teen I feel that it is just an excuse for people to go out and get "turnt" just like every other weekend, the only difference is they have an excuse to gather and get dressed up with a rebellious side of smashing pumpkins, toilet papering people's lawns and egging houses. I think Halloween should be more focused on the kids. To me the idea behind halloween is letting kids decide what they want to be... In a sense of moulding their future. Always in life we are deciding what we want to be and eventually what we will want to do with the rest of our lives. So for a kid deciding what costume they are going to wear out of the hundreds of options, it's only preparing them to one day choose what they want to do with their life. It's a stretch to think about it in this way, but I honestly feel that this is the basic idea behind halloween, it gives kids decision making practice. As for the religious side of this, all I know is that my grandma hates halloween, she feels as though its the devil's night which many other people agree with this as well. I disagree with this and feel that this is an out-of-date assumption. There is no proof that this is what the night stands for, but to each his own everyone has their own opinions. Mine however differs from that thought. As mentioned before I feel that halloween is beneficial in the sense of moulding kids' futures, but for the teens and adults I feel that it is just our role to go with the flow and support the kids. Nothing less, nothing more.

A Poem To Me, Makes Me Feel Free

To explain what a poem is to me what shall the first line be
Something filled with passion and hard work, where your mind can be free
A poem lets you escape from your day
Let whatever's bothering you fade away
Freeing you from your overpowering thoughts
Getting rid of the sick feeling from those stress knots
A poem to me opens my mind
It provides peace for me to find
Nothing out of the ordinary or crazy
Makes you have to think, no more being lazy
The messages are powerful and deep
The words don't come cheap
It has taught me how to express myself in a whole new way
Maybe even to brighten up someone's day
Using un-common words
Letting my speech fly free as birds
I feel comfortable to rhyme more
I don't care if you think I'm a bore
Poems are a powerful thing
To me relief is what they bring

Understanding It

How can you, as the manager of your own education, ensure that school assignments meet your needs? Is there are way to meet the instructor's expectation, while also following your own interests? This is the question I was asked and this is my response... As the manager of my own education, I can ensure that school assignments meet my needs by getting them done in plenty of time before the due date, that way I can focus on other projects to do the same operation over again. This leaves room for error and corrections to be made. The way to meet the instructors expectations is to religiously follow the rubric then do more than what you were asked. Use bigger words make yourself sound smarter than you actually talk. Trying is key, trying will get you marks. The way to build on the last topic while also keeping your own interests in mind isn’t based on whether you get to pick the topic of the project or you get it given to you by the teacher. What you must do is pick the side of whatever topic you are given or choose and passionately finish your points. Following this information I have just shared you will be able to manage your assignments, meet the instructors expectations and follow your own interests.

Benjamin Franklin

January 1706 - April 1790

Leading author, printer, political theorist, politician.

"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing."

Although there wasn't much information on Benjamin Franklin directed towards the author aspect of his life, there was a lot of information about how he was a well rounded man who respected by many. This quote "Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing" speaks to me no matter who the author is. To me this quote is very powerful in the sense that it explains don't write about something you aren't passionate about or enjoy, because your readers won't enjoy it either. For those who write with passion and joy their readers will read their writing with passion and joy as well. The "do something worth writing" part of the quote speaks to me as well because i think if you are writing about something that you don't like then who will like to read it, no one. This quote in its self is very powerful, and a easy incept to understand. I enjoy this quote very much because it is relatable and a true to every type of writer.

Gratitude

Dear Dad,

Thank you for being there. Not just there for me, or for our family but, thank you for being always present. Throughout all my life when times got tough and people treated you like you were nothing you and you felt 2cm small you were always 12feet tall to me. You are the sunshine through the storm and person that keeps me going. You have taught me that many people in this life, even the ones you would least expect will knock you down, and that even if it takes awhile theres always a way to get back up and make it work. I have and will always look up to you. I will always be thankful and I all always care. The way you look at life inspires me. So many times in the short sixteen years I've been alive you've been let down, and you've picked yourself back up. The way you portray yourself to me and my three little siblings is phenomenal. To us your this super hero, whose taught us it's okay to be let down, its okay to cry, but even more important than that it is critical to believe in yourself and to believe in each other. That family is the greatest gift life has to offer. Family is the only thing that is forever. From our experiences we know that not everything lasts, but from you we know that moving on and bettering ourselves and each other is how to handle the situation. Thank you for not being one of those loser dads, who left when you and mom broke up. Thank you for sticking around and playing both parts when we needed you too. I couldn't be more proud as a daughter to watch the things you have gone through, and see the man that they have shaped you to be. Most of all you have taught me love, something that i will never be able to forget. No matter how many times you've lacked love, you have ALWAYS shown love to your children. You are literally one of the strongest men i have ever encountered, inside and out. I am grateful for you, and I love you paps.
